I'm a marketing professional by day and recently became interested in pursuing real estate investing to generate income for retirement and, frankly, to give me a reason to shop for houses! Every beat up, old house speaks to me (make me pretty again!). I recently became a first time landlord when I rented my tiny fixer that I lovingly restored myself and am presently in the hyper learning and analysis phase of property searches in a tough market. I listen to BP podcasts and wonder where in the world people buy property for under $500K! My new husband is terrified by my recent proclivity for sending him 2-3 spreadsheets a day of property analysis. So, I'm thinking I should give him a break and maybe ask BP'ers for feedback instead.
