I spent 15 years in the corporate world. At my pinnacle, I reached the level of CFO for a small credit union here in Orange County. I've been through layoffs. I've been at odds with a CEO who was acting irresponsibly with the financial statements and ultimately ran the company into the ground. I've stared at the gray walls of a cubicle for far too long. I worked my way through a terrific MBA program in hopes that it would help me climb that corporate ladder. And what have I gotten for all of this? Nearly two years of unemployment. There is no security in the corporate world. There is no sense of purpose in the corporate world (at least not for me). Being unemployed, I started driving Uber and Lyft. Spending that much time in the car gave me plenty of time to listen to podcasts. And I am so grateful I found BP. I have learned enough to get me started. I know most of my learning will come through actually doing deals. But BP has been a fantastic resource. So thank you Josh!!
