Self award-ed MEMBER AWARD - BPCON 2022 attendee! We (My husband and I) have built a 13 door portfolio of all Furnished Mid Term Rentals. I owe it to BP... and that little book.. Rich Dad Poor Dad. Read Cash Flow Quadrant and then it all clicked. Freedom of Time is the key and that can be done by creating multiple streams of income! FACT To date we have never been listed on any STR sites. I have been operating Mid term rentals way before people could even understand the concept much less have a name for it. Strategies: On market value-add deals, Brrr's, buying homes that sit on a double lot ( as as in beside the lot home sits on (separate parcels -sell off side lot - did this 2 times. Currently holding another property that includes a side buildable lot. Another strategy was buying as a primary residence and then move out after a couple years to convert to a rental. This is how you could "possibly" cash flow on a CLASS A property - Most know it's tough to cash flow on Class A however we have been successful with 1 class A property. Location-Location-Location. Prior to grabbing more investment homes we completed 7 primary residence flips... while raising 2 boys. The moment I found BP ... that was when I really dove in and realized the power of holding long term... which is the real wealth builder. Buy Hold This did create a job for me, property/asset manager. Honestly, I do enjoy people and the hospitality side of it all. I am a problem solver by nature. I am a proud mom raising 2 boys. A thriving 20 yr old, Paramedic & saving lives... He has 1 year left for a tax return filed to be on his way to using the Home Town Hero loan program - he will house hack it and start his journey in creating some streams of income :) We also have a HS football player with so much determination it exhausts me. But he knows what cash flow means! The discovery of Bigger pockets has played a huge roll in our success. Always learning and always sharing what I can. I love to educate the young and hope to inspire them to take risks and study financial literacy. If all this sounds dreamy...
