I am the founder of Hickory Creek Capital Partners located just outside Knoxville, TN. We look at various opportunities in commercial real estate and partner with savvy passive investors who want to grow wealth in real estate without the hassle of direct ownership. I began my career as a physical therapist after graduating from the University Of Tennessee at Memphis in 1997. After a short, unsuccessful run at investing in the stock market, I quickly discovered real estate investing. Hungry for knowledge, I sought out and was mentored by some of the brightest, successful, and creative minds in the real estate industry. It is that knowledge that has prepared me to take full advantage of opportunistic times. But it's experience (2007-2010) that made me a conservative investor who first protects my invested capital at all costs. I started Hickory Creek Capital Partners to help many of my friends who are busy professionals and high net worth investors tap into the power of commercial real estate. But I learned that I had to educate them about these opportunities and break their mindsets and assumptions that Wall Street is safe and alternative investments are risky. My goal is to educate as many people as possible and free them from the "brainwashing" of Wall Street so that they can invest directly into tangible assets with easy-to-understand, proven business processes. I work with operators who are masters in their asset class. Proven operators with thousands of units under management who were around during good times and bad times. My capital and the relationships that come with that capital are too important to me to trust to just anyone. I am always looking to create new relationships and network with other investors.
