I am a mom, wife, Realtor, investor, landlord professional photographer and writer. I have been investing in real estate since 2004. My first purchase was 43 acres to grow pine timber on. We now own 32 rental properties, including a 160 acre agritourism farm we just started in NW Alabama, 2 Airbnbs, and have plans to open a wedding venue in the next 2-3 years. I have a degree in photojournalism and worked in newspaper and print media for 10 years before I went to work for the U.S. Senate photographic studio on Capitol Hill for 8 years. I left the Hill in 2009 to go into real estate (right after the market crashed) and I was able to grow my business in a very tough market. I started a REIA group in Maryland (Frederick Real Estate Investors Connect - FREIC) that is going gangbusters. Now that I moved back to the South I'm getting back to my roots in NE Mississippi and NW Alabama and I have started a REIA group, North Mississippi Wealth Builders. We are just getting started, but have great things planned!
