My husband and I are youngish buy and hold investors. We currently own several buy and hold properties in the Greenville, SC area, and are working on expanding our portfolio to totally replace other streams of income. I'm also a mom to 4 young kids, so have been less active on here than hoped! But here's to changing that as we dive into 2019! Right now, my bottleneck is funding. I've watched some of the area's leading investors snatch up properties I was trying to work out the funding for, simply because they had cash and could close quickly. At the same time, I'm thankful to have made the progress I have. And thankful to have validation that the areas I anticipated growth in are those that have exponentially grown. Currently, we have over 12 long-term rentals, and 5 AirBnb "doors," which has allowed me to have a creative outlet for design and hospitality. Long-term real estate goals are to open small hotel(s), add more short-term rentals, do some developing and flipping, and continue to add to my buy-and-hold portfolio. Currently, all investments are in South Carolina, but looking to expand to Mexico and other US and international locations in 2019. Looking for private and hard-money lenders. I have also completed the first course toward my agent's license in South Carolina.
