I'm a first-time real estate investor based in Washington, D.C., working toward building a long-term multifamily portfolio. My strategy is to start with a 2–4 unit property, live in one unit, and rent out the others to help offset my housing costs while building equity. I'm focused on cash flow, smart financing, and buying properties with strong long-term potential in D.C. and Maryland. I plan to use professional property management and prioritize conservative deal analysis, healthy reserves, and sustainable growth. My long-term goal is to acquire multiple properties over the next 10 years and gradually build a portfolio that generates lasting income and financial freedom.
