I would call myself a buy and hold investor and as of the end of 2018 I own four single-family houses. I haven't tried to be very active in real estate for the last 10 years as my day job has kept me very busy but I plan to get more involved following a recent transfer from the Washington, DC area to South Carolina. My main focus of investing has been in renovating distressed properties, doing most if not all of the work myself then holding long term for the cash flow. I plan to sell two of the four properties I own in 2019 and roll the equity into additional properties. I expect to become much more involved with new deals, with various aspects of property development and real estate investing going forward.
