I'm fortunate to have found my passion early on in life and I think it goes back to a car ride with my parents when I was in grade 5 or so. I recall driving down some deserted road in Alberta and we were talking about something along the lines of having a successful future and my dad said "If I had either not had children or gotten into real estate then I would've been rich" and that always stuck in the back my head. My dad is a fun-loving guy so we see the humour in it but also the truth. I went to university in Kamloops for the sole purpose of finding my way in real estate which didn't take very long thanks to a local investment group, RENTS. I was made an executive of that group during my first semester of university and by the end of the second semester I was finishing up my real estate course and that was the end of my university career, so I thought. For the past 6 years, I have been a realtor in the Lower Mainland area of BC helping clients buy condos & multi-million dollar homes but that has been shifting over the last couple years. Residential real estate is not my passion, business & investing is so I have shifted my focus to the commercial/investing aspect of real estate and am close to getting my CCIM & DULE designation. My personal business now focuses on development land and commercial investment properties while also spending my time running and advising two other real estate related companies I look forward to talking more about some time soon! Residential real estate has not nor will it fully ever be left in the dust. I do enjoy working with people I like with buying/selling their primary residences because its a more enjoyable process and I see all that is wrong in the industry so like to make sure they are protected. Real estate as a whole fascinates me so I intend on being involved in most facets of the industry. Commercial, investing, developing, personal large-scale investments, etc. I'm actively working towards pursuing and excelling in.
