Lydia Lucas

My husband and I came to the United States in 1986. I had a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in accounting at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. It is the oldest Catholic university in the Philippines. I was a full time homemaker since our son was born in 1987. We’ve been Milford residents since then. When he began school, I started working part time as a bookkeeper at Lauralton Hall, a Catholic high school for girls in Milford. When my son went off to college and lived on campus, I decided it was time to change my career. In September 2006, I joined Prudential CT Realty after acquiring my Connecticut Realtor license. Through the years, I’ve learned that a Realtor’s job is not for everyone. The first two years served as a trial period for me. I saw fellow Realtors come and go. As the years went by, I began to enjoy my job more and more as I witnessed and felt the satisfaction my clients received from my services. I’m also beginning to understand the difference between perception and reality in this business.
