Marco Padilla

Hello everyone, I'm Marco Padilla, a law enforcement officer currently residing in Philadelphia PA. Originally from Queens NY, I'm excited to be a part of the BiggerPockets family. After gaining some knowledge through books and podcasts, I have decided to take the next step and join this community. Experience: Initially, we had very little experience in real estate investing. However, we have made progress since then. We currently own two properties - one is already rented, and for the other, I have been working on getting it ready for rent. Update: I'm pleased to share that both properties are now rented. While we still have a long way to go, we are continuously learning and growing. Real Estate Goals: Our primary goal is to achieve financial freedom through passive income generated by buy and hold rental properties. And helping others realize their dreams as well. Although this is our main focus, we remain open to exploring other opportunities if the right deal presents itself. Currently Seeking: We are actively working on expanding our knowledge in real estate investing. Our current focus is on learning how to effectively analyze properties and building a strong network. We have come to realize that trying to do everything on our own is not the most efficient way to achieve our goals. UPDATE! Exciting news - we have recently retired from our 9-5 jobs and are now fully committed to real estate investing. Our portfolio has grown significantly, and we currently own 11 rental properties. Additionally, we are actively involved in flipping houses, wholesaling, and even venturing into the short-term rental market with our first AirBnb property. To further enhance our business, my wife/partner Christine Padilla has obtained her real estate license, allowing us to sell our flips and generate additional income. While this journey has its challenges, we find it both rewarding and manageable. As we kickstart 2022, our goal is to automate various aspects of our business to facilitate scalability and expansion.
