I've just purchased my first Investment home with the intention to extend the parking space and convert it to a two family where I'll live in one unit and rent out the other. From what I understand I'll need an architect and a planner to get started. I'm in search of some guidance to help me achieve this goal as efficiently as possible. Experience: I have purchased one town house as a buy-and-hold investment property. I've remodeled my primary residence to help level set my expectations on what it costs both time and money wise for varying projects. I've been reading and listening to Real Estate Investment strategies for about four years now and am extremely pumped to put it all into action. Real Estate Goals: Starting 2020 I would like to purchase one buy and hold single or small multi-family home every year and increase the purchase volume as I gain experience and grow a team. Currently Seeking: Architect in/near Kearny, NJ Planner in/near Kearny, NJ General Contractors who can help me convert my primary residence from a Single family into a two family house. Post the acquisition of my New Jersey Small Multi-Family Primary Residence I'll then be targeting Ohio around the Dublin, Worthington, Columbus areas to begin growing my portfolio.
