Mark Cool

I’m an artist working with reclaimed wood and found objects. I segued from residential remodeling (I had my own business for 12 years) into building my art businesses. (I make and sell golf art too.) I live in a tiny house that I built from reclaimed materials on a 3 acre country property that I own free and clear. I’ve done one flip in my life and made a good profit. I’ve bought and sold other homes as residences and always made money. Heck, I was even a licensed real estate agent and a loan officer in LA, CA many, many moons ago. I’ve got a lot of experience in business, real estate, remodeling, and negotiation, and this is a time in my life where I’m choosing to consolidate and focus my energies and skills on real estate investing with the goal of building a solid retirement. My son has been wholesaling here in the Durham area of NC for the past couple and he’s inspired me to want to participate. We plan to do some wholesaling and flips together. I am excited to be back in and learning from this great platform and other avenues. The resources are so abundant and generous! A far cry from a cassette series I bought off a late night infomercial guru in the 1990s about how to get rich in real estate!
