in the past I was building a portfolio of rental units. I had 7 buildings ranging from singles to 3 unit property's. I did not have the time to devote to managing them. I was selling my home and moving closer to my roofing business. Through ignorance about property management firms, I sold everything and put the money into my home. I still hold the mortgage on 2 of the property's. I am getting back into investing. I plan on holding most of the property's. I plan on working in Schuylkill, Northampton, and Lehigh county's, PA. I have a property manager in these county's. My interest is in finding the property's and getting them ready for sale or rent. Experience: I bought my first property when I was 18. I took my income tax check of $400 dollars and used it for a downpayment. Walked into a realtors office and bought a house that needed work. Sold it a year later and bought a mobile home that we lived in, free and clear with the profit. 18 years later I started to buy rentals. 5 years later I sold them and put the profits on the house we live in now. That was 10 years ago. Real Estate Goals: My roofing business is running itself. So at 60 I am going to build a rental property portfolio.
