I am a lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio. I got into real estate, not really because I wanted to, but because I had no real option. My wife and I married in 2008 right at the start of the crash. I had some remodeling I wanted to do on my house, so I moved in with her. We bought a third property to be our residence and finished the rehabs with a contractor. I put the first house on the market and it sat for months. I finally turned to renting. I finished the second house about 6 months later and the same thing happened. In 2014 we decided to add to our assets so we bought a foreclosure in the neighborhood where I grew up. It needed extensive renovations which I did mostly myself. I learned many lessons on what not to do. Real Estate Goals: This year I want to turn this interest into a business. I am doing some organizing and creating processes. I would like to add one more house by the end of 2018, then move into multifamily properties.
