I have taken the "leap" and made real estate investing my full-time occupation. I have been working as an engineer for 8+ years and am "done" trading my time for a bit of cash. My dream is generate enough income in real estate/investing to ensure my family's future AND to start "give back". As a newbie, I'm spending time each day learning (the "beginner's guide", podcasts, books, blogs, posts etc). I have been attending my local meetups & REI get-togethers to meet like-minded folks. At this point, I'm learning about marketing and want to learn how to find wholesale deals to build up capital to start doing "flips". In tandem, my partner and I are working w/ a trusted & experienced "remodeled" in southern CA to do our 1st flip. My plan is to start doing flips in northern CA, where I live.
