I was an audio engineer in Los Angeles for over 25 years... with 4 Emmy nominations and 1 win! I spent 1.5 yrs living in Mexico, and moved to the Austin area in 2018 to be near my dad and brother. In 2024 I'm planning on selling off more of my Indianapolis and Milwaukee properties, and buying more north of Austin. Experience: I earned a California real estate license, though I was never an agent. I bought my first rental property (in Memphis) in 2009. As of the end of 2023, I had closed on around 26 investment deals and hold most of them as rentals. I bought most of them with "cash"... some of my own, some borrowed from family, friends, credit cards, HELOCs, etc. I have sold off my original 2 Memphis investments. Real Estate Goals: I know how important everyone says it is to set goals and have a business plan. For now, I'm living off the income I am generating from my rentals... as long as I spend less than I net from my rentals, I'm good! I'd like a little more income so I could live more comfortably, therefore I'm acquiring more (and better) properties. This might not be a SPECIFIC goal, but it works for me. Currently Seeking: properties in Texas. Looking for good deals on SFRs, duplexes, triplexes, 4-plexes.
