I'm self-employed and based in Portland, Oregon. I became interested in real estate investing while working with political clients to help keep rent control bills from coming to vote in the Oregon State legislature. I've moved all of my retirement savings from the stock market into real estate, using a self-directed IRA to make SFH purchases and investments in apartment syndications. Since joining Bigger Pockets, I've purchased multiple single family homes in the midwest and I recently purchased a mobile home rental in a 55+ community in Arizona. I've since sold three of those properties, while rolling proceeds into syndications and Bitcoin. I also host a podcast on retirement planning for entrepreneurs.
