Matthew Fragassi

Hello BiggerPockets Family! My name is Matthew Fragassi and my goal on BiggerPockets is to become more experienced in the art of real estate investing, find partners/investors and possibly make a few friendships along the way. I would like to become proficient at real estate investing to help others in need of guidance and mentoring. So with all of that being said! About 7 or 8 years ago, I became interested in making more money and not working to make someone else rich. I bought the book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and loved it... But never acted upon it. Now, years later, I am married, my wife and I just had our first child and I realized that what I am doing now just isn't going to work. I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" again and multiple other books by Robert Kiyosaki and have read many other real estate books (Including "The Book on Investing In Real Estate With No & Low Money Down). Which has all lead me to this site and real estate investing. I found the BiggerPockets website & podcasts and have enjoyed them both a lot so far. I am here to finally get my feet wet in real estate and start the process of becoming well versed and educated in real estate investing. I am looking to start in my current area of Central, Pa. Very close to Penn State University. I would like to start by flipping properties and possibly a few SFHs/Apartments to hold and rent out to get a grasp of that process (how to acquire, maintain and the overall handling of tenants). My goal is to be able to quit my job in 5-10 years and methodically expand my business to eastern/south eastern PA, while also helping disabled/wounded Veterans with their housing/financial needs. With every deal I make, I want to help improve the quality of the area. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy investing!
