Hi there! Newish investor with 2 properties as of 2023 and looking at buying a short-term rental in 2024 and growing into multifamily investing. I live in Jupiter, FL moving here in March 2022 from DC. I've been a member of BP for a bit and absolutely love the community support and information sharing network. About me: I am a Maryland native but grew up moving all around the country. I lived in Washington DC for a number of years after college and then lived in Singapore and Guam for a couple years before moving back to DC in 2020 and buying my first property. My first property (rowhouse) in D.C. was a long term buy and hold investment. I did a modified BRRR and house hacked it and rented out the entire house 2021 summer. I now have a primary residence (townhouse) in Jupiter FL that I bought in Aug 2023 after searching for a multifamily and houses all of 2022 and not seeing anything and getting pretty frustrated. So I went with something I loved and followed the great location and schools strategy. I work in sustainability and renewable energy and I love my field but like most on here I am looking to escape the 9-5 ASAP through passive income. When I'm not working or looking at Redfin for sweet deals, I like to travel, surf, paddleboard, fish, kayak, run, and create cool drone/underwater content. Hope to connect and talk real estate!
