Matt Lorenzo

Im originally from the East Coast but California is home.....oh, and I always wear a necktie. Im a research librarian, so digging for details, information, and deals is in my nature and trade. I currently own two REI properties in Cleveland, OH, and I am looking for more. I served as the president of the Bay Area Young Adult Librarians Association (BAYA) and currently serve as the vice-president. I am also the creator of CU Hacks, the first overnight hackathon for teenagers in a public library venue. My library programs have been featured in both Library Journal and School Library Journal, and he is the keynote speaker in LJ’s professional development course, “Coding Program Workshop.” He is also a published writer for the Voice Of Youth Advocates (VOYA) magazine. In 2015, I was the recipient of Santa Clara County's “Employee Excellence Award” and the “Outstanding Employee of the Year Award." In 2017, Matt received the California Library Association’s “Young Adult Services Librarian" for the great state of California.
