I'm a newbie investor originally from Sacramento, CA. I went to college and grad school in Los Angeles, where I first developed an interest in the hot L.A. real estate market and even got a salesperson license. Family shifts led me back to Sacramento where I abandoned my license but used what I learned to buy my first property in Sacramento's relatively affordable market. I recently decided to leave my career in Sacramento to move to New Orleans to get married to a proud NOLA native. We are both hoping to use real estate to invest in this city and this community, especially his old neighborhood which still hasn't rebounded after Hurricane Katrina ten years later. I'm looking to BiggerPockets to meet other investors in and around the New Orleans area, learn as much as I can, get ideas and inspiration, and hopefully to make deals happen.
