Hello fellow BP members! I am a young (but starting to feel old) professional in the biotech industry living in the SF bay area. I’m a new real estate investor, and my goal is to begin generating passive income through long-term, buy and hold SFHs. Short term goal: purchase first property in 2021 (my brain is telling me the market is high and I should wait. But all the pros say you gotta start somewhere, so I’m committed to acquiring my first property this year!) Mid-term goals: Begin scaling my portfolio at a reasonable rate through conventional loans. Acquire ~3-5 cash flowing properties in the next 2-4 years Long-term goals: 1031 or cash out refi into multifamily. Maybe learn how to BRRRR and other creative ways to invest.
