Hello everyone I'm a 21 year old Long Island Resident. I've had a knack for money making ever since I was little. From ages 12-16, I would frequently buy and sell items on eBay to make a little extra cash on the side. I would flip items like video games, electronics, and even antique Lionel trains (a hobby I picked up from my father). I would also sell items for my friends in return for some commission. I feel like this part of my life gave me a great deal of financial education. It also taught me the value of money and how it can be used as an investment tool. Somewhere down the line I was introduced to the idea of real estate investing. I met people over time who were involved in REI, and discovered what a lucrative business it could be. I began reading books and browsing the internet to enlighten myself on the subject. Because of my hobby buying and selling as a kid, I was able to understand a lot of the basic concepts of REI. The stars seemed to align and I instantly became hooked. I still consider myself newbie, but I continue to read and research with the hopes of eventually having this become my full time career.
