My wife and I purchased our first duplex in Sacramento, Ca in November 2018. We lived in the smaller unit for fourteen months while renting out the larger unit. We refinanced this property in December 2019 for a lower interest rate. We've recently moved and we're currently renting both units and we're receiving positive cashflow from our property. My wife and I are interested in purchasing multi family properties (5-28 units) in the Sacramento area. My wife and I are teachers but would like to transition into Real Estate investing full time by buying and holding multiple multi family (Apartment buildings) properties in the Sacramento area. I'd like to build a large rental property portfolio over the next 3-5 years that'll replace our current salaries, and allow us to achieve financial independence.
