Long time real estate investor via REITs, SFRs and more recently Crowdfunding. 2010-2012 - I was a member of a local real estate club who formed LLCs to buy houses at Dallas and Collin county tax auctions. I have experience "bird-dogging" potential properties that showed up on the auction roster. 2010-2012 2013-present - I'm in the US Foreign Service (currently posted to Ciudad Juarez/El Paso) but born and raised in the Dallas area and return for visits. When I lived abroad, I was limited to participating in crowdfunding deals but now purchasing homes in El Paso to renovate for long term buy and hold.
