I grew up with uncles doing flips but I was always the worker bee, never the investor, I learned and took notes though. I bought my first place in 2000 and “house hacked.” which wasn’t a term back then, and then moved from city to city losing my job to the market as a civil engineer. I decided to study market cycles, and figured out fast that a civil engineer never had a stable career. We just over built cities until I got laid off. Which caused a lot of moving every few years, but allowed acquiring and selling but never getting too far ahead. Therefore I studied more and listened more. Now armed with more knowledge and settling in Norcal and investing where it makes sense. Which has led me to move from condos to singles to multis to now storage! I always liked the idea of storage, but never made it a priority, always went back to what I knew. Now it's time to make that change and into a business, not just an investment. Storage has a lot of similarities, but enough differences to be its own challenge. Wife and I are actively learning those differences and we are set up to make this our future. We are looking for like minded driven partners that share the same passion and are ready to make this their business.
