Michael Murphy

I am a professional investor. I have been buying foreclosures and have been a landlord since 1994. I am a fairly conservative, buy-and-hold investor. I have an MBA and have 16 years of experience in the Finance Industry. I helped to found and grow an automotive finance comapny for a Fortune 5 company in the 1990's. I was the third employee hired. We grew the company to 600+ employess and multiple billion dollars in loans by the time that I left in 2000. I also have mergers and acquisitions experience acquiring small to medium sized companies of about the same size in the Finance Industry. I have a 6 Sigma Black Belt, which is basically a certification in process management, statistics, and risk management. I consider myself a professional. That means I do quite a bit of analysis on both specific deals and the overall market. I carefully manage my risk exposure and leverage. I maintain my own "code of ethics" that aligns with my larger beliefs.
