My family and I recently relocated from Southeast Alaska to North Central Wisconsin to be closer to family. I am a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Alaska, and I work for an accounting firm in the Wausau area as an auditor (sorry no tax advice here!). As Southeast Alaska's real estate prices are a bit on the absurd side, and Alaska is going through an economic down swing, I was hesitant to drop dollars investing in Alaska knowing we also planned to move. I'm excited to begin investing now that the family is settled.
