I live in Bethel Alaska, and work for the state of Alaska in airport maintanence. Winter time finds me riding a snow machine. We commonly take 100 to 300 mile trips and may spend several days winter camping. Summer time is Salmon fishing, (both with a net, and a rod and reel) boat trips, and getting fire wood from the river using a boat. I live in a 750 square ft house that cost $189,000, milk is $6.99 a gal, gas is $5.99 a gal. There are no thru roads here. We have 7 miles of hiway and you must fly (500 air miles) to even get to Bethel, or to leave Bethel. At age 63 I am living the dream, (or nightmare?? LOL!) in "Bush Alaska"
