Naren Gunasekera

I am currently a land use planner in California with a focus on permitting and zoning work in the coastal zone, City of Los Angeles and LA County. I have worked in the subprime mortgage industry, in the nonprofit field and even ran my own scuba diving school in Asia before settling down in California. I am currently saving money and building my credit for a house hack in SoCal followed by out of state investing in Utah. I am also spending a significant amount of time educating myself via books, podcasts and analyzing properties using the BP tools. Experience: No experience in real estate but I have worked in the Mortgage business so I know a bit about that; currently I'm a land use planner so I know about local permitting, etc; and I ran my own business for four years. Real Estate Goals: I want to have enough property to generate $10,000/month in passive income so I have the freedom to travel and work as a conservation photographer. Currently Seeking: To network in Los Angeles, build as many contacts and learn as much as possible before I implement my second phase of house hacking via adding an ADU to an existing property or purchasing a duplex/triplex.
