Still pretty to real estate investing, having only completed one flip. I own my home and am interested in primarily flipping homes to begin with and eventually growing into some rental properties to create a long term residual income. Experience: My day job is as a mortgage underwriting manager, and I grew up in the home of a realtor. You'd think I would have gotten into this a long time ago, but was to heavily influenced by some of that realtor-parent's more conservative ideas about how real estate investing worked. I've come to learn that the world of real estate investors is much more complex and diverse. I'm seeing more people looking to change the world and make a buck at the same time than taking advantage of those in a bad situation. Real Estate Goals: I want to help change the landscape of our city one home at a time. I believe that when a house is rehabbed, it helps to improve the whole neighborhood and can be a catalyst for current homeowners to improve their own properties. Long term goals are to wholesale and flip houses for a few years and then start building a rental portfolio for passive income. Currently Seeking: I'm working to locate my next home to rehab. Although, right now, I'm working on building out my website for some evergreen marketing and lead gen so I can put most of my energy into wholesaling for the time being. Opportunities to connect with other investors. I'm finding it hard to get out to a lot of the meetups due to my day job and family commitments, but I'm planning to get better about being out there. UPDATED: I've finally released from the paralysis. I'm in the midst of my first rehab and hope to be on market by mid January.
