Nathan Shankles

I’m 32 years old with a BA in economics and an MA in education. I live in Fresno, CA with my beautiful wife and 15 month old daughter. I’m a high school government and Econ teacher by trade, but my passions are preaching, fitness and investing in real estate. My wife and I have 4 properties, which includes the one we live in. Our first property was a SFH we acquired with an owner occupied FHA loan and we now rent it out. Our second property was a duplex we acquired with a partner whom we bought out 2 years later. Our third property is a SFH we lived in for 2 years and now and now we rent it out. Our goals are for me to retire in 18 years (at the age of 50) with a passive income of $17k per month. We have some cash in the bank right now and are developing the best strategy to help us meet our goals. How do you think we should do it? I’m a people person with public speaking skills, I love to read, crunch numbers, set goals, develop plans and teach real estate investing to others! I want to make connections, develop a strategy to meet our goals, and then execute that strategy. Happy to share what I know and soak up what I don’t.
