Inspired to buy and hold after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. Ongoing battles with Crohn's Disease and living the hand-to-mouth lifestyle of a professional musician brought me to a point of absolute frustration and dread. Tony Robbins or Jim Rohn saying "You get what you got when you do what you've always done" struck a chord in me. Personally, I started out as a poor Dad. My first direct mail campaign was funded by my child credit tax return. Been wholesaling for 2.5 years now and am saving funds to buy rentals. Landed my first wholesale deal September 30 2018. Have been blessed to complete 21 deals, and purchase 5 properties (1 duplex) since this journey started. Bought my first investment property via seller financing on Jan 30, 2019. Working on doors 7-10. Big goals this year of 24 wholesales and 3 more doors. Ready, fire, aim! It's so very true that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. I changed who those 5 people were and have seen incredible results. I spend each day pursuing building FI for my family who I love dearly and with whom I want to spend most of my time.
