I Started RE investing with John Beck's "Tax Sale Property" course bought from a late night infomercial. Fortunately, I was stupid so I did what I was told and used it to start building wealth with what could only be described as class D properties (occasionally a 'C'). I have done hundreds of deals during my career, including land development and multifamily, and am currently a buy and hold landlord with only class A properties. Maybe not the best from a % return standpoint but great for peace of mind. I believe that "how you think is more important than what you know" and speak at real estate conferences on the subject of mindset because I believe it's more important than technical knowledge.
