In my previous life I was a pizza delivery driver, military veteran, and urban farmer. Now I find myself flipping a house or two each year to go into semi-retirement earlier. I've bought homes, condos, land, mobile home parks, you name it. I mostly deal with really REALLY ugly houses. I hate the work but I do enjoy the transformation because it's typically so extreme. When I get an "easy rehab" house, and I get it at a low price, oh man, that's like cinnamon, sugar, and butter on toast! Rarely happens though... Tough ones are challenging but always the most rewarding because they keep you learning and building skills so your subcontractors don't walk over you because you run the show.
