My husband LeRoy and I are new to real estate investing, starting with our first purchase of a duplex in 2011 in Sacramento. Soon after, we acquired two more properties and manage them ourselves - and we were able to do it on a modest income of a teacher and a pest control technician. We had considered buying into one of those real estate "guru" programs until I discovered the BP community on line. Our plan is to acquire more buy and hold properties and teach our children, friends and family how to invest in real estate. With BP, we couldn't ask for a better support resource to draw on!
