Hi BiggerPockets Community, I'm Phil. My wife and I have been investors and landlords for the last ten years. We own 3 rental units (two condos and a single family home) in the Chicago area. I originally started my career as a commercial real estate broker for Marcus & Millichap, but consider myself a novice buy-and-hold investor that's learning each day. I joined BiggerPockets in 2015 after I kept hearing about the site on other blogs/sites, search engine results, and interviews. I was hooked by the email newsletter and have been obsessed with the podcast, YouTube videos, blog posts, and feature forums. After taking a break from acquiring properties in order to focus on our young kids and gut-rehabbing our home, we are now re-entering the market.
