PJ Kolnik

My name is PJ and I am originally from Bozeman, MT. Currently, my wife and I live and work in Chicago, IL. I am working on investment rental properties in the areas of Hermosa, Logan Square, Avondale in Chicago. I am also always interested in funding, buying or partnering on deals in Bozeman, MT. Experience: My experience in real estate is relatively new. I grew up in Montana helping my parents manage 5-6 mobile home trailer rentals that we installed on our property. I grew up working excavation and masonry construction with my Dad and work with a Civil Engineering firm now. That being said, I'm relatively new at doing this all myself and I'm definitely somewhere on the steep part of the learning curve. Real Estate Goals: I am currently in the middle of reading through Brandon Turner's book on Managing Rental Properties and trying to apply all the lessons learned in this book. My first goal for the first three months of 2018 is to get some updates done on my first property (3-unit) that I closed in December 2017 and get all three units leased. A few other goals that I would have would be to learn more about creative financing, partnerships, and new investment opportunities in multi unit buildings in Chicago and Montana.
