I picked up two rentals back in the mid 2000's when I was in the Army. I haven't lost money on them, but I haven't made much either and when i moved out of state, they became more of a burden than an asset. My wife, myself and my in-laws moved up to Michigan (Detroit metro) about three years ago and we started to pick up some properties up here. They are doing great and we are looking at ways that we can ramp up our business.
