Pricilia Mugwa

Hi everyone! 👋 My name is Pricilia Mugwa, and I’m currently based in Tucson, Arizona. I’m an international graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Mining Engineering at the University of Arizona, with a background in journalism, communications, and research. I’m completely new to real estate investing, but I’m very interested in learning about rental properties and building long-term wealth through real estate. My engineering background has taught me to look at problems analytically, while my journalism background has taught me to research, ask questions, understand markets, and talk to people from different backgrounds. I’m hoping to bring those skills into real estate investing. As an international student, I’m also interested in understanding the legal, financial, and practical considerations of investing in U.S. rental property while maintaining my student status. I’m taking the time to learn before making my first investment. I joined BiggerPockets because I want to learn from experienced investors, understand what actually works, avoid common beginner mistakes, and eventually build a rental-property portfolio. I’d especially love to connect with investors in Arizona/Tucson and other people who started investing with little or no real-estate experience.
