I am wanting to begin investing in real estate. I do not believe the 401K is a dependable retirement vehicle, which lead me to research alternative strategies. I have been in and around construction all of my life. I have owned and operated a small construction company, preforming both residential and commercial projects most of my adult life. After the recession, I needed a break from the self employed hustle. Currently, I have a W-2 position as a Commercial Construction Superintendent Boston area. I am wanting to start with purchasing, rehabbing, and selling single family properties. I plan on financing with hard money to generate a small working capital fund. Longer term, I want to parley the profits from flipping into long term small multi rental units.
