Born in the former Soviet Union, I moved to the land of opportunity when I was 9 months old. I began my real estate investing career during the Great Recession. I started with in $10K savings to buy a distressed two-family house in 2008. Since then, Labrador Real Estate has done over $30M in hotel and real estate development projects in Boston, New Hampshire, and Georgia. Prior to full-time real estate investing, I was the CEO of Fortified Bicycle where I helped urban cyclists ride safely with unstealable, invincible bicycle equipment. Prior to Fortified, I co-founded Socrative (acquired by MasteryConnect), an ed-tech startup whose software is used in millions of classrooms worldwide. An active writer on entrepreneurship, his articles have appeared in Inc. Magazine Fast Company, The Boston Globe, Good Magazine and BikeRumor. I hold a BSEE and MSEE from Boston University and a MBA from MIT Sloan and I guest lecture at both on entrepreneurship.
