Experience: My first real estate venture was a single-family house flip in Phoenix, Arizona. I bought it remotely from my hometown of Las Vegas, relying on a one-time partner who lived there, and I actually never set foot in it! It should have worked out fine, but the year was 2007, and my investment unexpectedly turned sour when the housing market collapsed. Most others in that position might have given up investing then and there. But after losing ALL my hard-earned savings from that investment gone bad, I was more determined than ever to get educated, to keep that from happening again, and to create even greater future success. Fast forward to 2008. Armed with the ability to offer various little-known ways people can sell quickly in this “post-bubble” market, I realized this was the way I was meant to improve others’ lives. Ten years later as of 2018, I’m now both a full-time Investor AND Realtor and have felt fortunate to be party to countless transactions and experiences of all types throughout Texas, including flips, owner-financing and “being the bank,” Subject-To / Sub-To purchases, raising private capital, joint ventures, Assignments or Wholesaling, title research, project management, traditional Realtor representation of Buyer and Seller clients, short sales, Section 8 and regular buy-and-hold rentals, property management of those rentals, and more.
