I'm a real estate investor in Des Moines, IA. Since I started investing in 2006, I've done wholesaling, fix and flip, fix and rent, bought and sold both multifamily and single family homes, and flipped buildable vacant lots. My current investment focus is tax cert investing in Iowa (we currently buy 50-100 tax certs each year), and also fixing up ugly houses to rent them out in the Des Moines Metro area. I was also a residential mortgage underwriter for about 5 years, underwriting thousands of FHA, Conventional and HARP mortgages on SFH, MOHO, and Multi-family (2-4 units). And for the last 6 years I've been in residential mortgage compliance.
