Grew up in Knoxville, still here, raising a family and building toward financial independence through real estate — the slow and occasionally painful way. My wife and I became landlords by accident. Held our first rental for eight years and made most of the classic mistakes along the way. That education was expensive but it stuck. Since then we've been deliberate about learning the right frameworks — buy-and-hold, BRRRR, flips, STR — and applying them with a lot more intention. I have a hands-on background in DIY, construction, and project management, which eventually turned into running Tailwind Productions LLC — a small home improvement operation here in Knoxville focused on renovation, painting, and property prep for homeowners and investors. I'm most useful to people thinking through renovation decisions in the context of their exit strategy, and most interested in connecting with other East Tennessee investors doing the same.
