Just like most people, my journey started back in 2005 when I picked up the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad. Within 30 days of reading it, I purchased my first Real Estate property in Orlando, FL . I felt like I did the impossible, however, I wasn't aware of how easy it was to get a loan at the time. I quit my job, got my mortgage and real estate license because I presumed that I found my calling. I took a leap of faith with being self employed. Boy was I wrong when the market crashed in 2007-2008. I came from a steady job making a decent living to only grossing $11k the following year. I immediately had to adjust and I became an asset manager of REO properties for a few years. I made some really good relationships and learned the business this time while on salary. Long story short, I learned to take advantage of the great recession. I bought and flipped 11 properties. My biggest regret today is that I only kept a few. When I could have easily kept at least 5 for my rental portfolio back in 2009. I took a long break since then and recently got the fire to get back in the game. My wife and I now own a few rental properties and we are looking to network and find our niche so we can build wealth and a legacy for our family. I know it's not easy. I know it takes work. However, if you ever read my story below of the body transformation I've gone through, you'll learn I'm not a quitter and I welcome a hard challenge.
