Rob Wells

Hello My name is Rob Wells. Since childhood, I’ve aspired to be a real estate investor and got my first taste of real estate working on my parents’ rehabs when I was just 10 years old. By the time I got out of high school, I had my real estate license. After graduating from college, I got my real estate broker’s license. I sold real estate in college, but for some reason, that was not satisfying enough at that time, so I decided to go to law school and become a real estate attorney. When I got out of law school in 2011, the legal field was going through vast changes, and jobs were hard to come by. So I started my own law practice, focusing on landlord-tenant issues, real estate, and probate matters. Running my own law practice for nearly five years amid the struggles of practicing law has awakened and renewed my passion to again become a real estate investor. After some painful experiences making payroll, paying taxes, and burning out trying to make my practice work, I realized I had my business all wrong and was working on the wrong side of the income quadrant as well as not being in the place I dreamed of. However, those experiences gave me the courage to come now to this group to embark on the quest to finally become a real estate investor. My goal in joining BiggerPockets is to complete my dream of being a real estate investor and build an investment business based on systems, processes, and teams instead of working as a one-man army as most self-employed people do. I did not fully appreciate the importance of systems, teams, and processes until I started and worked to maintain my law practice. I look forward to building a portfolio of properties for cash flow. I look forward to meeting all of you and hearing your stories about how you made it happen. I look forward to giving you encouragement and information I may have that could possibly help you on your journey.
