I, unknowingly, started my REI journey in 2011. I bought my first live in flip as it was all I could afford being a self-employed contractor. After living there for 5 years, changing careers to match my degree (financial planning), and getting married, my wife and I sold our home to buy another live in flip. We lived/flipped that home in about an year and used the proceeds to buy our current house hack (Main home with Airbnb apartment). Since then, we have added six more Airbnbs, five doors of LTRs and 7000sqft of commercial space. We are currently finishing up an eight house flip from a military housing lot auction.
