I currently live in the Portland Oregon area. I started investing in property in the early 90's with an initial investment in bare land. In 2013, after getting settled in my career and family, I jumped back into real estate investing. My wife and I purchased of our first single family rental in Hillsboro Oregon and self managed it for 5 years. In 2015, looking for our next acquisition, we purchased a house on the Oregon coast, remodeled it, and turned it into a vacation rental. In 2018, we have sold both properties and using the profit to purchase our first small apartment building. We are jumping from 2 investments to a 30 unit complex in Indianapolis and excited to start this next step.
